4. Data Protection
We implement strong security measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Conversations are stored securely with access limited to the parent account
- We do not sell personal information to third parties
- Payment information is handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers
- PIN protection is available for sensitive settings
5. Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our service is designed specifically for children and requires verifiable parental consent before any child can use the platform.
Parental Consent
During account registration, parents must confirm they are 18 years or older and the legal guardian of children who will use the service. Parents must also specifically consent to their child's conversations being processed by our AI providers.
AI Provider Data Sharing
To provide AI responses, we send conversation messages to the following third-party AI providers via their API services:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT, DALL-E) — Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (Claude) — Privacy Policy
- Google (Gemini) — Privacy Policy
- Perplexity — Privacy Policy
We access these providers through their API services, which means child conversation data is not used for model training per each provider's API data usage policies.
Data NOT Collected from Children
- Real names (display names chosen by parents do not need to be real names)
- Physical addresses
- Phone numbers
- Photos or videos
- Precise geolocation data
Parental Rights
Parents have full rights under COPPA to:
- Review all of their child's conversation history
- Request deletion of their child's data at any time
- Download a complete export of all data associated with their account
- Revoke consent and delete their child's profile
- Delete their entire account and all associated data
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- AI Providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Perplexity - to provide AI responses
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Supabase: For secure data storage and authentication
- Resend: For email notifications
Child conversation data sent to AI providers is used only to generate responses and is subject to each provider's privacy policies.
7. Parental Rights
Parents have full control over their family's data:
- View all conversation history for each child
- Delete conversation history at any time
- Modify or delete child profiles
- Export your data upon request
- Delete your entire account and all associated data
8. Data Retention
We retain data for the following periods:
- Conversations: Retained for up to 1 year, or until deleted by a parent
- Account data: Retained while the account is active
- Usage logs: Retained for up to 1 year for analytics purposes
- Payment data: Managed by Stripe per their data retention policies
Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days. Parents can delete individual conversations or request full data deletion at any time from their account settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email and by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
